Golfing Everyday Challenge Day 3: Improving My Swing and Enjoying the Journey
My Golf Journey: Aiming for the Low 70s
The support from my friends and followers has been incredible, and it’s really pushing me to stay motivated in my golf challenge. One comment that really stuck with me was, “If you keep this up, you’ll be shooting in the low 70s by the end of the year.” That would be amazing, and I’m determined to make it happen!
Honestly, there are times when I feel the urge to step back from social media, focus exclusively on coding, and just hit the golf course whenever possible. But I know that if I do that, I’d probably end up stuck at my desk and barely playing golf. So, I’m reminding myself that exercise and time outdoors are just as important as my coding goals.
Balancing Social Media, Golf, and Coding Goals
I’ve been getting so much positive feedback from my social media followers, and it keeps me motivated to stick with my challenge. But I also know the importance of balancing my coding work with my outdoor activities. Sometimes socializing can be draining for me, but I’m working on finding that balance so I can make new friends and continue growing both in my personal and professional life.
Productivity at Coffee Shops: My Coding Sessions in Whittier
Today, after practicing some golf, I headed to Bark Coffee in Whittier to work on my coding projects. The wifi at my house wasn’t working, so I needed a place to focus. Bark Coffee turned out to be the perfect spot: fast wifi, quiet ambiance, and great green tea lemonade. While I love working with friends, sometimes solo coding sessions at a coffee shop are just what I need.
It’s a unique feeling being at a coffee shop alone—productive, calm, and reflective. Plus, it gives me a chance to recharge and step away from the pressures of social media. I’ve been embracing some alone time lately, but I also know I need to push myself to make new connections.
